The stuff that make up everything!
Yeah, you guessed it, atoms. These are - as the title says - are the stuff that makes up EVERYTHING! Pretty hard to grasp, yes. But what MAKES an atom? Hmmm...
What Makes an atom?
Let's that a look at one, shall we?
Woah! That middle bit, coloured blue and red, is called the nucleus. And those things whizzing around it? Well, they're electrons. Electrons on a hydrogen atom can go around the Earth in about 18 seconds!! The blue things are called protons, and the red bits are neutrons.

Did you know...? A hydrogen atom has no neutron in its nucleus! Also, they only have ONE proton! Wow!

So... How Small are they?
This is probably one of those questions that have kept you up all night, so, let's find out the answer! Here are some facts on how tiny an atom is!
- A single human hair is about as THICK as 500,000 carbon atoms stacked on top of each other!
- If every atom on your hand was the size of a marble, how big would your hand be? Well, BIGGER THAN THE EARTH!
- A hydrogen atom is about 99.9999999999996% empty space!
