Nobody agrees on the weather. People argue, cry, and fight over who is correct. So, uh... let's talk about it!
Lightning
Awesome, right? Lightning, thought five times hotter than the sun, has hit people who survived. But how? Well, most of these strikes are not direct (doesn't hit them directly), and instead is either:

Did you know...? As rain is constantly being recycled, and has so ever since the dinosaurs, some of the rain that landed on a dinosaur may land on you and me!
Also, as we're talking about water, did you know that only 1 percent of Earth's water is drinkable. The rest is either frozen, salt water or unreachable.

Wow, scary. There is also ball lightning, often mistaken as ghosts, which is weird floating balls of lightning in thunderstorms. Lightning is plasma, like stars, and can behave in very strange ways, like jumping from cloud to cloud. But the main thing you need to know is that lightnings aim is to get from the sky to the ground as quickly as possibly. Air is a rubbish conductor, which is why it often strikes tall buildings,
Tornadoes
We still don't know alot about these, after years of searching, but still have a few fun facts to share. Now tornadoes are known for causing devastating destruction, but did you know that if you got into the middle of it, the 'eye of the tornado', then it would actually be rather peaceful? The wind speed of both sides would be the same, causing the wind speed in the middle to be 0mph. It would be really noisy, but at least you'd be safe. Sadly, on the outside it doesn't look nearly as good for you, as with wind speeds of up to 300mph, you'd be hurtled around it, ordinary objects like pencils turned into deadly bullets. Most of the damage caused from the debris, not the tornado itself.
I think I'll give it a miss, thanks.

Rain isn't actually a teardrop shape, and is instead a oval. I bet you can't believe you never knew this!

Everybody hates rain. But me, I feel sorry for it. Poor left out rain. Anyway, lets get some rain facts rolling. The largest ever raindrop was 8.6mm across. Sadly, we didn't see much of it, so thats just a rough estimate. As hail is ice, and water gets bigger when turned into ice, this is why hail is usually bigger. Aww, I wish it was the other way round!.
